Who We Are
APRA was begun by a group of people who had a collective idea of how an organization should be. It should have fair rules, consistently-met goals, and completed projects. It should be an organization that focuses not on just research alone, but on the members and the public that it serves. Out of those ideals, APRA was born.
APRA seeks the truth in the paranormal, but our focus goes beyond that; we want to help people who have a need for assistance and knowledge. We take pride in assisting and educating people with the facts that we know and find; we want to help empower them to make informed decisions and choices in their individual situations.
We work as a team of individuals with our own ideas and strengths, so we strive to work within a system of open communication, not only with each other but also with other paranormal groups. We are proud of our affiliations and friendships with other organizations, and we work with them as much as possible. Cooperation within the paranormal community is important to us; we see it as a mutually-beneficial endeavor. We get the opportunity to learn from our peers, and we're able to lend a hand to assist or guide our peers when called upon.
We strive to raise the bar in the Arkansas paranormal community, as well as challenge ourselves with worthy goals. Our services to the public and the paranormal community include more than investigating. We strongly believe in education. APRA's strides to further educate our clients and the public is a factor that sets us apart. We perform property, l and, and historical research when and where we can. One service APRA doesn't provide is ‘cleansings' or spiritual rituals, but we can refer a client to a reputable group who does.
Although APRA's main focus is on alleged hauntings, we are actively involved in UFO and cryptozoology cases as well.
